Weekly Update
Faculty Follies was a great success. Over 85 teachers and faculty members performed in a show that lasted a little over 2 hours. We raised a ton of money for the Education Foundation, and we had fun doing it.
After Faculty Follies, I went to rehearsal for the Way Off Broadway Fun-Raiser that will be held this Friday night at the Sondheim Center. We blocked some new medleys. I think it will be a great show with a lot of old favorites and some cool new things as well. Come see it!!! Needless to say, after that day, I was spent.
Unfortunately, I had to get up at 4:30 yesterday morning. I got to school, and I left with the 7th grade GOAL kids at 5:45 for Des Moines. I had 9 students participate in the State level of the National History Day competition. We were gone from 5:45 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. We had a good day. The kids performed well, and it was good for them to see the level of competition expected at the State level. We were all darned tired by the time we got back to Fairfield.
This week is full of rehearsals for Children of Eden and the WOB Fun-Raiser. It will be a busy week!I woke up with a terrible sore throat and stuffy nose today. I feel pretty crappy, but I hope I have time to heal a little before Friday's show. Think good thoughts for me!
